The “Superior Sandbag” was born back in 1997, after witnessing emergency crews install labor-intensive, one-a-time, 35lb sandbags, attempting to control a storm swollen creek in Southern California.
The seed was planted---there had to be a better way!
Since then, SuperiorSandbagSystem has mechanically installed miles of Superior Sandbag, sand and gravel filled tubes in a variety of erosion and flood control applications.
When compared to single, hand placed, conventional sandbags, SuperiorSandbagSystem, significantly reduces, manpower and the time required to complete a same side by side installation comparison.
Superior Sandbag's continuous cell structure & weight
Superior Sandbag System is capable of mechanically filling and installing onsite, a 14” wide, 7" tall, 250ft long, continuous and seamless cylindrical sand or gravel bag tube in about 90 seconds, the equivalent of 500 traditional sandbags, utilizing as little as a two-man crew, all while significantly reducing worker fatigue and injuries. Superior Sandbag System greatly reduces issues experienced with traditional bags like side blowouts and bag movement while greatly increasing versatility and placement options especially in situations where flooding or high-speed storm runoff is anticipated.
Working with civil engineers and private and government entities SuperiorSandbagSystem offers a combination of exclusive proprietary erosion control and flood fighting technologies along with traditional BMP's to increase the options and effectiveness of combating silt leaving your jobsite and to greater control stormwater runoff and flooding.
